LA JOLLA (CNS) - Thousands of video-gamers are expected at this weekend's seventh annual Winter Game Fest at UC San Diego.
The event at the Price Center East Ballroom gets under way at 10 a.m. Saturday and will include nine tournaments in games such as "Call of Duty: Black Ops," "Halo Reach" and "Super Smash Bros. Melee."
Players will compete for prizes from game makers.
Games will be played on 100 computers, 50 Gamecubes and Wii stations, 16 Xbox 360s and 10 Playstation 3s.
More than 2,000 people attended the event last year, including some who traveled from other countries.
