Cardiff Kook gets into the Valentine’s Day spirit

SAN DIEGO, Calif. (CBS 8) - Pranksters are helping the so-called Cardiff Kook get into the Valentine's Day spirit.

The statue has been dressed up as cupid with a bow and arrow, even wings.

It's also sporting some decorative balloons, ribbons, and a sign that says "number one lover."

People in the area that saw the kook's new look seem to have fallen head over heels for it.

The Cardiff kook has been the target of numerous pranks.

In recent months, it was dressed up as a violinist and used to pay homeage to veterans on Veterans Day.

The most notorious prank, however, is still that giant paper mache shark erected around it last July.
