SAN DIEGO (CNS) - A man grabbed a 10-year-old girl by the arm and tried to pull her toward his car in a City Heights alley Wednesday, but she escaped unscathed, according to the San Diego Police Department.
The girl told investigators she was walking through an alley in the 4000 block of 46th Street about 8 a.m. when she passed a man sitting in a mid-sized four-door car and turned down his offer of a ride.
She said she kept walking but the man grabbed her arm and tried to pull her toward his white sedan. She said she screamed and kicked him, and then ran to Euclid Elementary, where she told a teacher.
The suspect, according to police, was a dark-skinned Hispanic man in his 50s, about 6 feet tall with a medium build, and wearing a blue baseball cap, light-blue windbreaker and brown pants.
