SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - Dozens of sea turtles will soon call SeaWorld home. News 8 was invited to the park for a sneak peak of their coming attraction. SeaWorld hopes to open it's 300,000-gallon exhibit to the public this summer.

As many as 60 sea turtles will enjoy the bigger and better tank that will have massive viewing windows for visitors to enjoy. The largest of the windows will be 22 feet long and 9 feet high with glass that is almost five inches thick

Sea turtles are threatened and endangered worldwide. Safe havens like these help the sea turtle population grow.  Four million SeaWorld guests are expected to visit "Turtle Reef" annually.  The attraction will be one of the largest sea turtle exhibits in the world.

One lucky elementary school class will win V.I.P. tickets to the exhibit. SeaWorld is holding an essay writing contest for third and fourth grade classes.

In this News 8 video story, Jeff Zevely has a preview.
