SAN DIEGO (CNS) - A man in a Florida State University jacket robbed an East Village bank Thursday afternoon.
The thief, who appeared to be in his late 30s or early 40s, approached a teller at the Comerica branch office in the 900 block of J Street and demanded cash about 2:15 p.m., according to San Diego police.
The employee handed over an undisclosed amount of money, SDPD Frank Cali said. The bandit put the currency into a tan plastic bag he was carrying and fled the area on foot to the north along Ninth Avenue.
In addition to the yellow-and-burgundy college jacket, the robber was wearing blue jeans and a light-colored shirt, Cali said.
