SAN DIEGO (CNS) - A new billboard was expected to be unveiled in University Heights Friday, with the hopes of catching a killer.

San Diego police and the family of Brandon Robinson were scheduled to unveil the billboard at 30th Street and El Cajon Boulevard at 10 a.m. The billboard will highlight $51,000 in reward money for information in the slaying of Robinson two and a half years ago, police said.

Shortly before 8:30 p.m. on Sept. 6, 2009, Robinson was shot in the head while in the Morley Field area of Balboa Park. According to police, Robinson was found wounded next to his motorcycle and died later that evening.

Robinson had been attending a birthday party in the park when an unknown suspect fired a gun, striking and killing the 23-year-old, police said.

San Diego County Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest, while the Governor's Office is offering a reward of up to $50,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction.

Anyone with information about the case was asked to call SDPD Homicide Unit at (619) 531-2293 or Crime Stoppers at (888) 580-8477. Crime Stoppers can also be reached via www.sdcrimestoppers.com.
