LAKESIDE (CNS) - A person was found dead under potentially suspicious circumstances Friday in a rural section of eastern San Diego County.
The discovery of the body near the intersection of Wildcat Canyon and Muth Valley roads in Lakeside was reported shortly before 2:30 p.m., sheriff's Lt. Jim Walker said.
Deputies investigated, then called in homicide detectives to determine if the death might have been a slaying. Details on the condition of the body and the precise location where it was found were unavailable in the late afternoon, the lieutenant said.
