PALOMAR MOUNTAIN (CNS) - Caltrans crews plan to work on state Route 76 in North County Sunday, and will detour traffic over the top of Palomar Mountain.
California Highway Patrol officers said the road work will close Route 76 about midway between Pauma Valley and Lake Henshaw. The exact parameters of the closure are South Grade Road on the west, and East Grade Road on the east.
People driving cars will be detoured up and down the mountains via the South and East grades. But that detour is not safe for RVs and trucks, and the CHP will not allow those vehicles onto the detour, they said.
