SAN DIEGO (CNS) - A 23-year-old man attacked in the parking lot of a Circle K store in Nestor was stabbed 11 times in a gang-related attack, police said today.
Fernando Ramirez was sitting in his girlfriend's car when the attack occurred outside the store in the 1200 block of Hollister Street about 11:50 p.m. Friday, San Diego police Officer David Stafford said.
An exchange of words led to the attack, Stafford said, adding that police were looking for as many as four suspects.
The girlfriend drove Ramirez to Scripps Chula Vista Hospital, and he was
transferred to UCSD Medical Center, where he was reported to have stable
vital signs, Stafford said.
