Calif. officials say no terror threats reported

Posted: Updated:

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) - California emergency officials say they have not detected any credible threats in the state in the immediate aftermath of Osama bin Laden's death.

California Emergency Management Agency spokesman Jay Alan said Monday that the state remains vigilant for possible terrorist threats. He says the agency would take extra measures prescribed by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security if necessary.

The nation's alert status remains the same at airports and transit hubs. Alerts will be sent out if the federal government receives specific or credible information.

Alan says, "At this point, we're not hearing of anything."
