Photographer's risky pictures help save great whites

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - Aside from being ferocious predators, very little is known about great white sharks. But now a research team is partnering with the National Geographic Channel, hoping to unravel the mystery.

In this Environmental Alert, Shawn Styles caught up with one local photographer who's hoping his pictures can help save the endangered species.
