Names of two Oceanside teens shot to death released

OCEANSIDE (CNS) – Authorities released the names of two teenagers found shot to death in Libby Lake Park in Oceanside Thursday.

The bodies of Sandra Salgado, 14, and Fernando Felix Solano, 16, were each found in the 400 block of Calle Montecito by officers responding to reports of gunfire about 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to acting Oceanside police Capt. Leonard Mata and the San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office.

So far, detectives have been unable to establish a motive or identify suspects.

Both teens lived in Oceanside.

OCEANSIDE, Calif. (AP) — Police in Oceanside say a 14-year-old girl and a 16-year-old boy have been found shot to death at a park behind an elementary school in the north San Diego suburb.

Capt. Leonard Mata said Wednesday that police are searching for suspects.

The victims are from Oceanside but Mata declined to say whether they knew each other.

Police say their bodies were found in a hillside corner of Libby Lake Park Tuesday night, behind an elementary school.

Police found the bodies about 15 minutes after callers reported hearing gunfire.
