Kade Kundrat, 31, is charged with murdering 23-year-old David Allen Jacobson, whose body was found about 2:30 a.m. on July 13, 2009, on a walkway behind the front building of the Seaview Apartments in the 100 block of South Pacific Street.
Police said the victim died of a neck wound.
At Kundrat's 2009 arraignment, prosecutor Katherine Flaherty said Jacobson got into an argument with two of the defendant's roommates and Kundrat threw Jacobson out of the apartment.
One person told police that Kundrat was mad because his girlfriend told him that Jacobson was constantly calling her, according to a search warrant affidavit.
Kundrat called Jacobson back to the residence and was waiting for the victim when he arrived, the prosecutor alleged.
