CHULA VISTA (CNS) - A fourth suspect was jailed Friday in connection with a fight near a Chula Vista trolley station that left four people injured.

The suspect was arrested early Friday morning for his alleged involvement in a fight, which involved eight to 10 people that broke out at around 7:40 p.m., Thursday at the Palomar Street Trolley Station on Industrial Boulevard, said Agent Frank Giaime, of the Chula Vista Police Department.

When officers arrived they found Juan Carlos Garcia, 46, at the scene lying unconscious from a head injury, Giaime said.

Two more victims, who were in their early 20s, were found lying on the ground in front of a Food 4 Less store on Palomar Street, Giaime said. One victim had a gunshot would and the other was suffering from multiple stab wounds.

A fourth victim was found in an area hospital and was treated for stab wounds which police determined were sustained during the fight, Giaime said.

None of the victims' injuries were life-threatening, Giaime said, and all were in stable condition.

Officers were able to locate a knife and a backpack containing a gun in the Food 4 Less parking lot.

Four arrests have been made so far in connection with the incident, Giaime said. The suspects' names were not released because the investigation is ongoing and additional information is being sought about others who may have been involved.

Police were still investigating the cause of the fight and whether it was gang-related.
