Grilling with Styles: Grilled Fruit Stix

2 Mango's skinned and cubed
2 Papaya's skinned and cubed
6 Kiwi's peeled and halved
1/2 fresh Pineapple cut into 1" cubes
1 pint Strawberries
Bamboo skewers, cleaned


1/2 tsp ground allspice
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp ginger


4 oz. dark rum
2 tbs brown sugar
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup pineapple juice
Powdered sugar

Vanilla Ice Cream


All fruit should be slightly green or not quite ripe. Mix dry ingredients in bowl and set aside, do the same with the marinade Soak bamboo skewers in water for and hour. Assemble the fruit on the skewer alternating the different types. Place in a glass dish and brush with marinade, sprinkle with powdered sugar. Oil grill and place skewers over medium high heat, keep an eye on them so the don't burn and grill just long enough for grill marks to show.

Serve immediately with ice cream, a drizzle of marinade and sprinkle with dry topping.
