FALLBROOK (CNS) - A 27-year-old man was behind bars Tuesday for allegedly setting fire to his own two-story home in Fallbrook following a domestic squabble, authorities said.

Jade Antoine Taylor was arrested late Sunday night near the scene of the fire he allegedly set, according to San Diego County sheriff's Sgt. E.J. Dayrit.

About 10:40 p.m. Sunday, a residential structure fire was reported in the 2900 block of Via Del Robles. The home was fully engulfed when deputies and firefighters arrived, but the blaze was stopped before it could spread to any other structures, Dayrit said, noting that no one was hurt.

A woman who lived in the house told deputies that prior to the fire, her husband had been loud and belligerent toward her so she took her children and left, San Diego County sheriff's Lt. Jim Duffy told The San Diego Union-Tribune.

Taylor later allegedly called and told his wife that he had set fire to the house, according to the newspaper. It was not immediately clear whether Taylor owned or rented the house.

Taylor was arrested on suspicion of arson and booked into the Vista jail in lieu of $150,000 bail. According to jail records, he could be arraigned as early as Tuesday afternoon.
