SAN DIEGO (CNS) - A house caught fire in North Encanto early Friday, prompting the evacuation of a few neighbors but damaging only one home, authorities said.
The noninjury fire in the 6800 block of Springfield Street was reported at 4:05 a.m., according to a San Diego fire-rescue dispatcher.
Flames were knocked down within about 20 minutes, she said, noting that the cause of the blaze was under investigation.
