VISTA (CNS) - A Vista gas station was robbed at gunpoint Saturday and sheriff's deputies searched for the suspect.

At approximately 8:50 a.m., a man armed with a semi-automatic handgun entered the 76 Gas Station in the 600 block of Sycamore Avenue, according to sheriff's Sgt. P. O'Brien.

The suspect pulled the gun from his pocket and demanded money, O'Brien said. The suspect fled with about $65, and was last seen headed north on Thibido Road.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic male who was about 24 years-old. He was approximately 5 feet-3 inches tall and weighed about 170 pounds, and was wearing a long-sleeved dark blue sweatshirt, jeans and black shoes.
