FBI, police call on public to find suspects in Oceanside bank robbery

Posted: Updated:

OCEANSIDE (CNS) - The FBI and local police asked for the public's help Wednesday to identify three masked men who robbed an Oceanside bank in about one minute.

Three masked robbers entered the Wells Fargo Bank in the 2700 block of Vista Way at about 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, and yelled their intentions to rob it according to FBI Special Agent Darrell Foxworth.

One of the robbers stood in the lobby and yelled orders for bank employees and patrons to get down on the floor while the other two jumped over the counter and took money from two tellers, Foxworth said. One of the men was armed with a handgun.

The robbers ran from the bank with an undisclosed amount of money, Foxworth said. No one was injured.

All three wore masks, gloves, dark pants, tennis shoes and gray jackets. They are considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information on the identity of the robbers is urged to call the FBI at (858) 565-1255, or Crime Stoppers at (888) 580-8477.
