SAN DIEGO (CNS) - An alleged drunken driver who fled from police in North Park ran a red light and crashed into two other cars, police said.
A man in his 20s was reported driving without headlights in the 2400 block of El Cajon Boulevard at 10:57 p.m. Friday, San Diego police Officer David Stafford said.
The driver pulled over on a sidewalk and, as an officer walked up to an Acura, the driver drove off, Stafford said.
The officer chased the suspect vehicle about four blocks, Stafford said, but the driver ran a red light near Interstate 805, hitting two cars.
