Posted: Updated:

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - Two Seattle terrorists are in custody after plotting to attack a military recruiting station.

One of the men has ties to San Diego.

The 33-year-old suspect was born in San Diego and has a long record of criminal activity. His partner is from Los Angeles.

The two were arrested Wednesday and say the attack was planned in retaliation to U.S. crimes committed in Afghanistan.  The men say they were inspired by the Fort Hood massacre.

They face life in prison if convicted.
