Three siblings hoping to be part of one forever family
They dream of one day going to Disneyland or SeaWorld, but the biggest dream they have is to find a forever family to love them. Meet three siblings who apparently don't know the meaning of sibling rivalry.
Polite and precocious, these three siblings weren't shy to speak up and introduce themselves. And, these bilingual kids, who speak Spanish and English, had only nice things to say about each other.
Dolce is eight and going into third grade. Jose is seven and starting the second grade and Beatriz, who is five, will be heading into first grade in the fall.
"They are amazing siblings. They love each other and they take care of each other. And especially Dolce, she's very protective, mother-like with her younger siblings," said Protective Services Worker Nicole Espinosa.
But Dolce and her siblings need a real mother. They deserve a forever family and a chance to do things a lot of kids take for granted, such as visiting Disneyland or spending the day at SeaWorld – places these children have never been.
And though they've been faced many disappointments in their young lives, Dolce, Jose and Beatriz are happy children.
They play so well together and have made significant strides since being placed in the same foster home.
"Smart kids, they do well in school, they love school. They did have a little bit of delays because of moving so many different times," explained Espinosa.
In fact, these children had not been enrolled in school before entering the foster care system, but they have since been working very hard to catch up and have a can-do spirit.
"It just shows you that being in a stable foster home where they are getting the nurture and love, these kids can really flourish and go far," Espinosa continued.
