SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - A recent string of restaurant robberies across San Diego has police on alert.
On Wednesday and Thursday, police say four businesses were held up. So far, there is no indication the incidents are related.
The most brazen incident happened Wednesday night-- when two masked Hispanic men went into the BBQ chicken restaurant on Convoy Street in Kearny Mesa.
"The one suspect came right up to the counter. Said something to the clerk. The clerk didn't understand it and didn't respond to it. And right away, the suspect just fired a round in the general direction of the victim. That's dangerous. That's really brazen," Andra Brown of the San Diego Police Department said.
The suspects took off with an unknown amount of cash from the register.
