RV catches fire in Mount Soledad area

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - Fire crews are mopping up after a brush fire in Mount Soledad area. Initial reports state the fire started in an RV, but fire officials would not confirm.

A witness reports seeing children running from the canyon where the fire started.

It happened just after 9 p.m., on Terryhill Drive.

Residents say they were concerned about the safety of their homes after they spotted the nearly 30-foot-high flames coming toward them.

No injuries have been reported.


MOUNT SOLEDAD (CBS 8) - An RV has caught fire on Terryhill Drive in the Mount Soledad area.

Fire officials say it also caught nearby brush on fire. Fire crews are calling for structure protection.

At least two acres have burned.
