Former Charger star Lorenzo Neal cited for DUI

(CBS 8) - Former Charger fullback Lorenzo Neal, a 17-year NFL veteran, was involved in an alcohol-related accident over the 4th of July weekend.

Neal crashed his truck into a pole near Fresno. He did not leave the scene of the accident. He got a ticket for driving under the influence, and his truck was impounded.

Neal was reportedly on his way home from a country club, and may have been talking or texting on his phone at the time.

The former football star tweeted that he takes full responsibility for his actions.
