SAN DIEGO (CNS) - A drunken driver killed in a collision in Linda Vista was identified Sunday.

Bryan Larman, 28, died in the wreck on Ulric Street near Fashion Hills Boulevard about 8:45 a.m., Saturday, according to the county's Medical Examiner's Office.

Larman lost control of a white Mitsubishi as he tried to pass another vehicle while traveling south on Ulric, police said. The car crossed to the wrong side of the road and struck a Nissan Frontier with two adults and two children inside, according to San Diego police Officer Frank Cali.

Larman was declared dead of head injuries at a hospital. Police said he was driving under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash.

The Frontier's occupants were hospitalized with what an officer called "moderate to major" injuries.
