Valley Center teacher pleads not guilty over wild teen party

Posted: Updated:

VISTA, Calif. (AP) — A San Diego County teacher accused of hosting a party where dozens of teens became drunk has pleaded not guilty to several charges.

The North County Times says Nancy Hildebrand entered pleas on June 30 to four counts of providing alcohol to a minor, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and violating the county's social host ordinance. She could face a year in jail if convicted.

The 56-year-old teacher was arrested last month after sheriff's deputies called to her Valley Center home allegedly found teens passed out in their own vomit and others playing strip poker. Authorities say at least 75 teens attended a graduation and birthday party for Hildebrand's daughter.

Hildebrand's on leave from her job at Valley Center Middle School.
