La Jolla swimmers warned about "flash riptides"

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - Swimmers are being warned about strong rip currents in the waters off La Jolla Friday.

Up to 100 swimmers were caught in a masive flash rip current in La Jolla shores Thursday, and quickly swept out to deeper water. Lifeguards say most made it safely back to shore, but 26 people had to be rescued.
