Chula Vista (CNS) - Forty-nine minors have been citied following the Chula Vista Police Department's Minors in Possession operation in the South Bay area, officials said Sunday.
This multi-agency operation also included police officers from all over San Diego County as well as the probation department and sheriffs department.
During the operation, 45 minors were cited for possession of alcohol, two were for public urination, one for possession of marijuana and one for possession of tobacco, Chula Vista Police Officer Rusty Nelson said.
This operation was part of the Repeat Offender DUI Prosecution and Awareness Program funded by the California Office of Traffic Safety, Nelson said.
