SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - A Mission Beach pizzeria is drying out Sunday night after a knocked-down fire hydrant flooded the restaurant.

It happened around 9 a.m. Sunday along Mission Boulevard at Pismo Court.

Witnesses say a car that was parked along the street accidentally backed into a fire hydrant. That sent water everywhere, including inside Rosaria's Pizzeria.

"There was two guys that with a broom and a dustpan just making the water go away from the door. And we had towels, we had boards that we were holding up, everything, trying to keep the water away. And it worked," said witness, Patty McGee.

The water was quickly shut off.  Damage to the pizzeria was said to be minor.
