SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - On a clear day from the Cabrillo National Monument, you can almost see forever.
When Keith Cammell isn't renting out bikes at his shop OB Bike and Tour on Niagara Avenue, he's doing one of his favorite things -- leading tours through Point Loma and Ocean Beach.
"We have a tour that takes you up to Cabrillo National. We have a shuttle service that takes you up to the top of the hill," Keith said.
Once you tour the facility and survey the vistas, it's tim to head down to town. The easy ride down is both somber and scenic. With the sun on your face and the wind in your hair, it's an exhilarating experience that only San Diego can offer. And along the way, there are a few historic stops.
Around every bend in the road, another panorama and soon you're perched along the cliffs.
"A lot of people don't even know about Sunset Cliffs, how beautiful it is. We have the same cliffs, we have the same waters, the same fish, the same birds as La Jolla. I don't understand why Sunset Cliffs isn't a hot tourist spot," Keith said.
For those of you who have discovered or even rediscovered Sunset Cliffs, it's a beauty to behold all the way to the pier.
Just like riding a bike, you can never forget the beauty that lies just beyond our own backyard.
