RANCHO BERNARDO (CNS) - An alleged drunken driver plowed into another vehicle, hurting the 18-year-old woman driver inside the second vehicle, police said Sunday.

A 38-year-old man was allegedly drunk as he drove south on Bernardo Center Drive around 10 p.m. Saturday and drove into the rear of the young woman's car, San Diego Police Officer David Stafford said. The woman was transported to a local trauma center with head injuries.

The man had been drinking alcohol, and will be charged with felony drunken driving, Stafford said. The department's Traffic Division is investigating.
