SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - Researchers at Scripps Institution of Oceanography are helping forecasters bring you more accurate weather forecasts.

In this Earth 8 video report, Kimberly King talks to the CEO of Earth Risk Technology about new software tools that can predict extreme weather events using the past 60 years of weather data.
