SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - People in Pacific Beach want better control over their neighborhood, and the crowds that can get downright unruly. They're looking at ways to make that happen.
Wednesday night, the Pacific Beach Planning group voted to pass a series of recommendations designed to crack down on public drunkenness and DUI arrests. These recommendations included conditional use permit for businesses applying for new or modified alcohol licenses, which could limit when and how alcohol is served.
The recommendations will now be forward to the San Diego City Council for its review and possible vote.
