CrimeFighters Manhunt: Bandira Paraense

SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - The News 8 CrimeFighters are helping authorities look for a registered sex offender with a long criminal history who has managed to evade authorities.

Bandira Paraense, 57, is wanted by state parole agents for violating terms of his release. His history includes sexual assault, failure to register as a sex offender, numerous drug-related offenses and assault with a deadly weapon on a peace officer, among other crimes.

Paraense is a Brazilian-American, 5 feet, 5 inches tall, balding with brown hair and has brown eyes. He is listed as a transient, but is known to hang out in downtown San Diego.

If you see this fugitive, remember he could be armed. Don't approach him. Instead, call police.
