VISTA (CNS) - A bail review hearing was scheduled in Vista Tuesday for a sexually violent predator accused of lying to authorities about where he lived.
Mark William Pliska, 57, is being held at the Vista Detention Facility in lieu of $75,000, according to jail records. He was arrested Aug. 11 by Escondido police.
Pliska allegedly registered as a transient in Vista and San Marcos while actually living in an Escondido motel from June until the time of his arrest.
Pliska has been convicted of molesting boys and indecent exposure. In 2002, he was designated a sexually violent predator and sent to a state mental hospital for four years. He is one of six known sexually violent predators living in San Diego County.
