SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - Sheriff's deputies are on the lookout for a suspect who shot an East County man in the face.
The shooting happened Wednesday morning at an apartment complex in the 12000 block of Mapleview Street in Lakeside.
Deputies say they received a 911 call around 6:30 a.m. A neighbor says he knows the victim, who came out of an apartment next door covered in blood.
"Well, when they pulled him out of here it look like his nose was busted and it looked like he got bashed in the face with something. His head was cracked open here and this side of his face was just blood," said neighbor Greg Dossey. "What it was, was another girl's boyfriend came up and shot him in the face."
Deputies say the victim was transported to the hospital in stable condition
