SAN DIEGO (CNS) - Two young men were lured out of their Serra Mesa apartment early Wednesday and attacked by a group of 10 men, police said.

A 22-year-old man and a male companion around the same age were in their apartment in the 8600 block of Glenhaven Street about 12:30 a.m. when they heard rocks hitting the exterior of the building, according to San Diego police Officer Dino Delimitros.

The pair went outside to investigate and were attacked by a group of 10 males, Delimitros said.

During the attack, one of the victims was stabbed in the back and another was struck by a baseball bat, he said, adding that neither suffered life-threatening injuries.

The 10 men drove off in two cars, a white Chevy Impala and a silver Mercedes Benz, according to Delimitros.

The motive was under investigation.
