CHULA VISTA (CNS) - A Navy commander who molested an underage girl over a seven-year period in Chula Vista and Monterey pleaded guilty Thursday to a felony charge of continuous sexual abuse of a child under 14.
Brett Allen Wagner, 40, will be sentenced to 12 years in state prison at a hearing Dec. 5 at the South Bay Courthouse.
According to the criminal complaint, Wagner molested the girl from 1997 to 2001 in Chula Vista and 2001 to 2004 in Monterey, when he was assigned there.
Wagner had the victim touch his private parts and, at another time, he touched her vagina, according to the complaint.
The defendant was arrested in June and extradited from Pascagoula, Miss., to San Diego County to face charges.
