DEL MAR (CNS) - A spill of about 1,000 gallons of sewage fouled a stretch of North County ocean coastline Friday.
A blockage in a sanitation line began sending wastewater overflowing on Eighth Street in Del Mar shortly before 3 p.m., according to the county Department of Environmental Health. It took city crews about two hours to get the problem under control, the DEH reported.
