San Diego's Pug Rescue holds 4th annual "Pugtoberfest"

SAN DIEGO (CNS) - Pug Rescue of San Diego County will hold its fourth annual "Pugtoberfest" Saturday.

The organization will use the proceeds to help pugs in need. Pug Rescue is an all-volunteer nonprofit dedicated to rescuing unwanted, neglected and abandoned pugs.

Volunteers rescued 210 pugs in 2010 and have already surpassed that number this year.

Dog lovers can enjoy specially crafted micro brews including the "Black Pug Porter," "Puglicious Golden Ale," or the "Hoppy Pug."

Dogs are encouraged to participate. Pugs in attendance can be pampered with a facials, massages and nail trimming.
