SAN DIEGO (AP) - Police say an 84-year-old man was killed when he tried to stop his car after it rolled off a jack in an alley in San Diego's Southcrest neighborhood.
Authorities told the San Diego Union-Tribune the man was putting his 1979 Ford sedan on a jack about 11 a.m. Wednesday when the car rolled off. Investigators say the man jumped inside to put the car in park but it hit a block wall and his legs and neck were crushed between the door and the car frame.
The medical examiner's office hasn't released the victim's name.
