BONSALL (CNS) - A head-on collision on a rural North County road left two people dead and a third injured Tuesday, authorities reported.
The crash on Gopher Canyon Road in the Bonsall area was reported about 2:45 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
One person died at the scene, and another was pronounced dead at a trauma center later in the afternoon. A third patient was taken to a hospital for treatment of injuries of unknown severity.
The accident left the roadway blocked just east of Fairview Drive for about three hours, the CHP reported.
