Gas line leak in Stockton

Posted: Updated:

SAN DIEGO (CNS) - A ruptured gas line interrupted trolley service and prompted a few evacuations in Stockton Thursday, police said.

The cause of the rupture, which occurred about 9 a.m. at 32nd and Commercial streets, was under investigation, according to San Diego police Detective Gary Hassen.

The area was closed off to vehicle and pedestrian traffic until 10:10 a.m., when pedestrians were allowed through, Hassen said. Vehicle traffic was expected to resume by midday.
