Man struck by car in Vista, left with life-threatening injuries

VISTA (CNS) - A driver struck a pedestrian, leaving him with life threatening injuries, near the intersection of East Vista Way and Warmlands Avenue in Vista Saturday.

The female driver reported the accident about 5:05 a.m and remained on the scene to help give the man first aid.

Authorities are asking to public for help identifying the victim, who appeared to be intoxicated. He was taken to Palomar Hospital with life threatening injuries.

The man, a Hispanic adult between the ages of 18 and 24, had no identification with him. He weighs about 160 or 170 pounds, is 6 feet-5 inches tall, and wore a blue and white checkered shirt and blue jeans.

The San Diego Sheriff's Department asked anyone with information about the crash or the victim to call (858) 565-5200.
