SAN DIEGO (CNS) - Shots were fired in South Park and Golden Hill about 20 minutes apart Friday and police detained two suspects.

Reports of gunfire at 3300 Nutmeg Street and at 32nd and C streets were received at 4:23 a.m. and 4:43 a.m., respectively, said San Diego police Officer Frank Cali. There were no immediate reports of injuries or property damage, he said.

Shell casings were found at both locations.

Two suspects were detained at a 7-Eleven on Fern Street, near Hawthorn Street, shortly after the second report of gunfire. Cali said the detainees were the driver and passenger in a vehicle possibly used in the shootings.
