EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) — San Diego left tackle Marcus McNeill left the game with the New York Jets on Sunday with an undisclosed injury.
McNeill went down on a running play, but eventually walked to the sideline and sat on the Chargers' bench. He was replaced by Brandyn Dombroski.
Early in the second period, starting running back Ryan Mathews went back to the locker room with a thumb injury. The Chargers did not announce which hand. Mathews was questionable to return.
Jets rookie defensive tackle Kenrick Ellis also left with an ankle injury in the opening quarter. He also was questionable to return.
