SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - Researchers from the Scripps Institution of Oceanography have identified a number of mysterious life forms living in the extreme deep sea.

Over the summer, a group of researchers explored one of the deepest locations on earth -- the Pacific Ocean's Mariana Trench.

In this News 8 video story, Shawn Styles reports from Scripps Pier with more on the equipment they used, and what they found.
