SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - A huge mess of debris from the Japanese tsunami is heading for the West Coast.

Computer models show the millions of tons of debris will hit the mainland in the next three years, but some speculate it could be as soon as January. Spotted in the debris -- refrigerators, a drum set and fragments of homes.

In this News 8 video story, Shawn Styles reports from La Jolla Shores with more on how scientists are tracking and preparing for the arrival.
