VISTA (CNS) - A car struck and killed a woman on a North County street Thursday.
The accident occurred about 5:30 a.m. on North Melrose Drive, near North Avenue in Vista, Lt. Mike McClain said.
The pedestrian died at the scene. Her name was withheld pending notification of her family.
The motorist remained at the site of the accident and was questioned by investigators, McClain said. It was not immediately clear who was at fault for the crash.
